In
1998, when her daughters and their families moved in pursuit of their
futures, Faye decided it was time to pursue her long-time passion, oil
painting. She has been taking
lessons since April of 1998 and continues today.
Born and raised in
South Louisiana, she enjoys a never-ending awe of the landscapes of the
swamps and camps around the area. Because
of the great stories she was told as a child by her French-speaking
grandparents, Faye paints a story into each of her canvases.
All of her prints are titled to fit the story that was brought to
life in her original works.
Several people have
commissioned Faye to commemorate parts of their lives like…. oil
paintings of their new homes…. to a painting of Zeus, a prize Black
Angus bull…these are one-of-a-kind originals treasured by their owners. |
